V.I. Government - PERB

1. The Public Employees Relations Board, also known as “PERB”, was enacted by the thirteenth legislature of the Virgin Islands, under Title 24, Chapter 14, of the Virgin Islands Code. 

2. PERB was created as a separate independent board of the Government of the Virgin Islands, and it was established to provide for orderly and constructive relationships between public employers and their employees. 

3. The PERB is comprised of five (5) members recommended by the Governor, and approved by the Legislature 

4. The PERB serves as a neutral, quasi-judicial, administrative body, with jurisdiction to address matters concerning employees of our Government.
